Thank you J.K. Rowling!

J.k. Rowling is the pen
Harry Potter is the highlighter

J.K. Rowling drew the world
Harry Potter made it brighter

Lumos

Lumos a spell in the wizarding world which indicates light. It is when used it can turn your wand into a torch. When you hear the word light, what comes into your mind? For me? All the positivity in life. Goodness, happiness, and hope. Be the light that helps others see. It is during our darkest times that we must focus to see the light. We must always remember that the light at the end of a tunnel is not an illusion. The tunnel is.

Hogwarts Alumni

Founded in the 9th century by Godric Gryffindor, Helga Hufflepuff, Rowena Ravenclaw, and Salazar Slytherin, Hogwarts School of Witchcraft & Wizardry is one of the wizarding world’s leading educational institutions. Located in the highlands of Scotland, Hogwarts graduates are known for being some of the world’s brightest and most successful wizards and witches of all the time. Depending on their personality students are sorted in one of the four different houses of the funders.  Thanks to the books and movies of Harry Potter, we have an insight into the prestigious school. However, the story of this young wizard is so interesting, that we end up caught up in the spells and battles and fail to realize the flaws of attending to Hogwarts. In case our acceptance letter ever arrives, it is important to see the bigger picture so that we can choose wisely if we want to attend or not. After reading the seven books and watching the eight movies of Harry Potter multiple times, I have come up with some cons of attending to Hogwarts. If you are planning on attending you might want to know in Hogwarts evil is everywhere, death is around the corner and a real deal breaker…no Wi-Fi.

who is Draco???

It's almost odd that it could be a question at all, isn't it? Everyone who read this book seems to have come away with a rather firm opinion on Draco's characterization, myself included. Yet in the month since the release of HBP, I have heard solid arguments for nearly every interpretation of Draco's character. This kid has had a multitude of charges leveled at him after his role in Hogwarts' invasion: "he's a coward/ he's a victim/ he's a total Death Eater-in-training!" And of course there are more (the werewolf theory, etc.), but these three seem to be the most frequent and central accusations that might determine Draco's activity in the series at a later date.

Best

My view of the world changed significantly when I began to read Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone by J.K. Rowling. This wonderful work of literature opened my eyes to the power of imagination and allowed me to develop my passion for reading. However, it also brought me to a realization, one that every young child must face: that every word an adult says is not necessarily true. After becoming aware of the ability for adults to be mistaken—or even to lie.

Escape to reality

Who has never dreamed of witches, broomsticks and full moonlight? I always wished, when I was younger, I could turn and do magic like a witch. I even bought little magic kits, but it was nothing like the magic I wanted to produce. In my teen years, a book called Harry Potter caught my attention. It took me to a world I thought could only belong in my head. J.K. Rowling brought words of description to my dreams and brought out the little witch and wizard in many children's lives. I have not been able to find a more descriptive, memorable, imaginative, and well-written books for both children and adults to read and enjoy.

Age ain’t nothing but a number

Whether you started reading the series at an age-appropriate 12 only to wait in line at 22 for the joy of the final installment or, like my dad, you decided to indulge your overzealous daughter by reading the copy she hid in your carry-on bag on a work trip and fell in love, the Harry Potter series took adults reading books written for kids and teenagers from being something mildly embarrassing to being an everyday happenings.

random thoughts

Hogwarts, Hogwarts is our name.
Studies, Quidditch is our game.
We wake in the morning with wands in our hand.
To go make magic is our plan.
Gryffindor, Gryffindor, everyone hopes.
Except for Draco, and his folks.
Ravenclaw, Ravenclaw is known for its skill.
they can fight but not usually to kill.
Hufflepuff, Hufflepuff the dream of few.
but when you get in it's quite fun and new!
Slytherin, Slytherin the dreaded tower.
But it's not bad except for Draco has some power
That's Hogwarts and now I will leave.
Remember, for Harry to become real all you have to do is believe!

Life and Death

Life and Death. Two of the most powerful things out there. What we don't notice in Harry Potter is that its theme is basically life and death. Like in example the feud of Harry and Voldemort. Their difference is that Harry feared death at first. But when he knew his mission to kill him, even if it meant his death. He then accepted his death. While Voldemort, on the other hand, is obsessed with Immortality. He was made with love, but he doesn't feel it. He doesn't have any friends, he doesn't love anyone.  He sees death as a human weakness. Death is not the greatest loss in life. The greatest loss in life is what dies inside while we live.

Harry Potter gave me a friend when i felt like i had none

Me, a shy and very quiet girl. I have social anxiety so it is very hard to make friends. I am very awkward when people talk to me I feel so nervous. I have a very small circle. Until I discovered Harry Potter. You have no idea how much it changed my life. When I watched the first movie. I felt a connection. It's like I was supposed to be there. Or I was in there. It made me introduced a new world when I was intimidated by the one I'm living in. It made me realize that I am not alone. Harry Potter gave an escape to the real world when I needed it most. And for that reason It will always be a part of me.

HOGWARTS IS REAL

Hogwarts is real. I can prove it to you guys.

I started going to a wizarding school since when I was 11.
 Hogwarts is real.

I even got sorted into Slytherin house.
 Hogwarts is real.

I made witch and wizard friends.
 Hogwarts is real

I even went to Ollivander's to get my first wand.
Hogwarts is real.

I know the Slytherin common room is located at the bottom of the lake.
Hogwarts is real.

I even talked to Dumbledore for a short while.
Hogwarts is real.

But someone said "Hogwarts isn't real" I shattered, it broke my heart for a short second.

Let me ask you a question. Is this blog real? Am I real if you can see me and read my post? Am I real if you commented on my blog and I don't know who you are or your name?

I know me and Hogwarts. Maybe Hogwarts is real and you're not.

#hinny

Harry Potter and Ginny Weasley-Potter. Why did  Harry marry Ginny? I at first didn't expect that they will end up together but I think it is acceptable. I even thought he would end up with Hermione. But we were all wrong. even in their first years, Ginny had the biggest crush on Harry. A lot of people criticize their relationship because they think that Harry is better with Hermione. But to get things straight, I think that it is right that Harry goes with Ginny because after all the trouble that Harry caused to the family?  Yeah. Harry took Ginny from a shy little girl to a confident young woman.

forbidden spells

Using one of these will get you one ticket to Azkaban. It is the most powerful and sinister spells known to the wizarding world. Try to use them, and you will get lifetime imprisonment to Azkaban. The three unforgivable curse includes Cruccio, Imperio, and Avada Kedavra. The Cruciaiatus curse (Cruccio), when used the victim, will suffer from extreme torture. The Imperious Curse (Imperio), the person who'll use it can control the victim. And the last is Avada Kedavra, killing curse is pretty self-explanatory. In darkest times, I think it is better to light a candle than curse at the dark.

Headmaster

The only thing I can think of him is that he is the bravest man I know. His name his bit of a puzzle because his name was got from an 18th-century word, bumblebee. Because they imagined Dumbledore to be like a bee roaming the castle. when he stood in front of the mirror of erised, he told Harry that he saw himself holding a pair of socks. When he actually didn't. He saw his whole family alive and happy. because his deepest desire and regret was his family.

Slytherin Pride

I got sorted in the Slytherin house. The witches and wizard who got sorted in the Slytherin house are described to as Cunning and Ambitious. Which would describe me honestly. People often mistake us for being evil. It may sound cliché, but don’t ever judge a book by it’s cover. Slytherins may have caused a little bit of trouble, but they did something that you could ever imagine. We are like our symbol, snake sleek. Powerful and frequently misunderstood. All houses are good. Mine’s just better

The Maurauder's map

It was created by the Marauder’s, Moony, Padfoot, Wormtail, and Prongs during their years in Hogwarts. To activate the map, you point your wand to it and say “I solemnly swear that I am up to no good” it basically means saying the truth about getting into trouble. To close it, say “Mischief Managed” By saying these words you can basically end a conversation. The map shows the live location of people and ghost at Hogwarts ground. I think it’s a little bit creepy to stalk where someone is. Don’t you? Like you can see the exact location of someone, you can follow them anywhere with the map. I don’t know, I just think it’s just weird.

Salazar

Slytherin house creates great leaders. Try to throw us into the wolves, you’ll see us leading the pack. You don’t want to mess with the slytherins. We are the type of people who’ll help you hide a dead body. But if you betray us, just remember we know how to hide a dead a dead body. Slytherin will help you on your way to greatness. The power to make people fear you is the only fear you need.

acceptance letter to hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry

I received my Hogwarts acceptance letter last August 2, 2012. Yep. On my 11th birthday. I didn’t know at all that I was a witch. I was in total shock when I saw a letter was sent to me. Like who would send me letters? When I read it, I didn’t know how to feel. I felt nervous and excited at the same time. My parents didn’t tell me about any of that magic. If you are twelve and still haven’t got your letter, just remember that you-know-who wiped all the records of muggle-born at the ministry of magic.

Life's a struggle when you're a muggle

In this blog, I have been constantly saying "muggles" but I haven't really explained it to you guys. I bet some of y'all are confused. Muggles are referred to as a non-magic person. I 100% agree on that quotation because guys, I have lived in the muggle world half of my life and I think that is one of my worst years. Ooh, do you even have any idea how much I want to use magic in the muggle world but sadly we only use magic in Hogwarts? I don't understand how muggles can survive without magic But the only thing I want you guys to remember is that, don't let the MUGGLES get you down.

qu'est-ce que la vie sans risques?

Sirius Black. He once said this to Harry Potter at the Order of the Phoenix. When we think about it, life without taking any risk will be boring. Like life without taking any risks. Can you imagine that? Life isn't all about cupcakes and rainbows. Taking risks would be dangerous and stupid, but I think it's worth the shot. right? I think it is just pure stupidity to let fear come first. And to stop you from your maximum potential. It is better to do something than nothing at all. All we gotta do is believe in our instincts. We should know that there is something greater inside us that is bigger than any obstacle.

Azkaban

Do you think that only you muggles have prisons? Nah. We witches and wizards have our own prison. We call it, Azkaban. It is a fortress on an island in the middle of The North Sea. It serves as a magical community of Great Britain for convicted criminals. But did you know that it is not originally a prison? Azkaban never appeared on maps, muggle or wizarding. And it is believed to be created and enlarge by creatures of magical means. Sometimes, we do bad things for good reasons.  But remember that happiness can be found at the darkest of times if one remembers to turn on the light.

“Harry Potter caught the Snitch, Gryffindor wins!”

The snitch is the smallest ball used in Quidditch. It is very hard to sight, even more to catch. The Seeker’s aim is to catch the Golden Snitch.  In order for their team wins. Catching the  Snitch gains your team 150 points. The Golden Snitch is not just a ball used for a wizarding sport. It also represents something. It represents dreams and opportunities. We must only use all of our efforts, hard work and everything will pay off. All it takes is Patience we just got to believe in ourselves.  Now let me ask you something. Why chase the quaffle, when you can see the Snitch?

Deathly Hallows

In the symbol, every element you see on it has its own meaning. The Triangle, it represents the Invisibility Cloak. By the name itself, you can already tell that when you wear it, you turn invisible. The Line in the middle represents the Elder Wand. The elder wand is the most powerful wand out there. And last but not least, the circle represents the Resurrection Stone. It is used to bring back someone from the dead. All together it is called the Sign of the Deathly Hallows.

The Golden Snitch

The Golden Snitch is the third and smallest ball used in Quidditch. It has the size of a walnut with gold coating and has silver wings. Written outside the Snitch is "I open at the close" when you first hear it, it is kind of hard to understand. Right? But there is a more deeper meaning in that. It means, accepting your death. Yes, you heard it right. Close means "Death" so when Harry found out he was you-know-who's last horcux. In order to end him, he needs to end his life. Death is not the end of life. But a part of it.

She needs to sort out her priorities

Hermione Granger, one of the badest, bravest and most clever witches out there. She once said this to Harry and Ron. This only shows how she really loves her books. She is the type of witch who gets upset when the examination is canceled. She is the only girl who stands up to a death eater and to get straight O's. She taught us that reading can save your life. Young girls are taught to be a delicate princess, Hermione showed us that you can be the warrior.

The Wand Chooses the Wizard

A wand is an object which the witch or wizard channels his or her magic in. Wands of Ollivander has a core of a phoenix feather, unicorn hair, and dragon heartstring. "The wand chooses the wizard, Mr. Potter," said Olivander. The wand chooses who it will work for. It said it had given them allegiance. When a wand chooses its holder, they can assure them to have the best results with it. It's like choosing who you believe or follow in. In any moment of decision, the best thing we can do is do the right thing. The worst thing you can do is nothing. Soon, we must all choose between what is right and what is easy.

Firebolt

Broomsticks aren't just the way you think it is. Do you think it's for sweeping? Nah. In my world, Broomsticks are enchanted to fly. Allowing witch and wizards to fly through their destination in the air. And for playing broom games too, such as Quidditch. I often think of in my head, what if we have broomsticks in the muggle world? Wouldn't that be amazing? I mean, there would be no traffic. No-majs can just fly through the air. Hmm what if?

Why Books are Better than Movies

Books enable to be connected to the author. It enables us to pass knowledge and ideas to future generations. Books can let you imagine things and events happened in the story. It is even more detailed than the movie. Movies tend to leave out some important details. "Don't judge a book by its movie." Why you asked? It's because books are more intimate. When you read a book it's like you are having a private screening of a movie but deemed inside your brain. If you still don't like reading, maybe you haven't found the right book yet. k

Mirror of Erised

The Mirror of Erised shows us the deepest and most desire of our hearts. It is more interesting rather than useful.  Whoever stands in front of it, show their heart's desire. Thinking about "heart's desire" made me think, what does my heart desire? What would I see in the Mirror of Erised? Some fears? Some Longings? Or some lost hopes? If I stand in front of it, I think I would see myself the way I am. Like a normal mirror. Why? Because I am happy the way I am. The mirror does not do to dwell on dreams and to forget to live.

Time Turner

Time Turner. It is a powerful and magical object that is used for time travel. What if the time turner existed today? Would that be a problem? That always goes through my head when I see my time turner. If we can be able to go to the past or future, what would happen? Are we gonna change things in the past to have a better future? Or go see the future? I think I will go to the past not to change some decision but to go see it one last time. Some people have remained in the past that I want to see once again. Time is a mysterious thing that is powerful. But when meddled with, dangerous.
